Meditation Bench - Handmade (Seiza)
I am excited to introduce you to the Birch Exterior hand crafted meditation bench made from fully renewable resources finished with a beautiful beeswax furniture polish.

The design of this bench allows you to gently rock until you find the most comfortable posture.
When you buy one you'll be amazed at how light it is, just over 1kg but still able to take up to 20 stone in weight, it is very comfortable on the back.
The meditation bench folds up as shown in the picture so that you can take it anywhere, then simply flip the legs out to make it as sturdy as a rock when sitting on it.

My experience with the Seiza has been that my back is now a lot straighter, with less effort; and after an initial breaking in period it became a wonderful experience. All in all, I much prefer the Seiza Bench to my Zafu. In fact, I've started taking it with me to my sitting groups.

The legs have also bee deliberately rounded as everyone sits at a slightly different angle and this allows the individual to adjust the sacral tilt into a very comfortable position.
About the carpenter: Jamie, a fourth generation carpenter from Scotland, made his first Seiza bench for a German Zen Meditation Master in Durban, South Africa over twenty years ago. From there he started making Puja Tables and Shrines, these have been sold to Masters all over the world.
All Meditation/Seiza Benches are designed from both safety and comfort.
The folding benches have Solid brass hinges and screws.
The wood is sanded to a smooth finish and oiled with Jamies own secret concoction of natural oils, Beeswax and Caranuba wax. When you purchase the bench you will be given an instruction leaflet showing you how to sit on the Seiza and how to make your own special beeswax polish for the bench.
Overseas cost outside the UK is due to its weight 1kg. Remember delivery is included in the price.
