What is your happiest song?
[Back]
What song makes you smile inside.
Let's have a list of the happiest songs. That's a hard one..... mine has to be anything by Queen I think.
Or Simply Red stuff. I can't pinpoint any one track though.
Anything that makes you think of driving in the sun. 8) (andyjturner)
Sonique - Sky is a definate
and anything with a Fender Rhodes in it; something about that sound just really gets to my base chakra and cheers me up.
I also love the Orb and Enigma; transporting stuff that I can float all my cares away on.
wingsoflove (wingsoflove)A few white fluffy clouds are always nice.
A bit of daydream believer is always good :) (charles vald)
I'm sorry, but the song Happy Talk from the musical South Pacific will always put a smile on my face.
Especially when it made the charts in the 80s (I think it was) (rachael)[color=indigo:044960ca6e]I always feel cheered up by "Shiny Happy People" by REM.
I'm sure there are loads more but I can't think just now!
Music is great for lifting your mood though!
Andy - I think Queen are a good choice too...
Lots of love,

It's got to be 'Echo Beach' by Martha and the Muffins.
It was in the charts just after I passed my A Levels and I couldn't get it out of my head. I made my mind up that I would find my own Echo Beach when I retire.
54 months and counting... (rosencrantz)[color=blue:de14514565]
It has to be 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' by Joy Division.
Well done, Rosencrantz. You kept your dream alive. How's Guildenstern by the way? Keeping well, I hope?

According to Tom Stoppard, we're dead... but I think you already knew that !
:)
When I first joined this board I saw that everyone had used a pseudonym and I really couldn't think of anything suitable so I went for one with a literary feel. I suppose I should have given it more thought and found something more 'me'. (rosencrantz)Any Tom Jones fans ? (charles vald)Without a doubt "You Gotta Make Your Own Kind of Music" by Cass Elliot! (gaylialynn)If you are not into slightly tongue-in-cheek naughty then this won't appeal - but 'I touch myself' by the Divinyls  (on the Austin Powers CD) always makes me smile, and it's especially good to do cleaning to!!
I have been trying a technique that advises you to cut into your thoughts by singing an upbeat or favourite song when you notice a bad feeling or thinking a 'down' thought. I am only doing this mentally so far and don't know how it's going yet!
Anyone else got any distraction techniques? (Kitbit)
