Home or Away?
[Back]
Would be interested to hear people's views about working from home or from a consulting room.
The obvious bits for me that spring to mind are from home: no interrupstions / getting the timing right with regard to rest of family being out or hidden somewhere! Also, insurance? Not liabilty but household insurance and is it allowable to run a business from home?
Consulting room option - paying rent and not being used??
What about visiting clients in their homes? What implications does that bring up?Any advice for me peeps??? (Purple)
Obviously you need public liablility insurance which is around 100 pounds a year and you have to tell your contents insurance company.
In my case they were fine but couldn't insure me for accidental.
When Dominic was first born, my wife use to take our son out when I was seeing a patient, now my office is full of cds, so there is no room for patients. (charles vald)I have liability insurance anyway as an FGC Cordinator and NLP Practitioner so can add new quals to that fine.
So, don't have to check with Household Insurance then about working from home? Running business from home? Haven't done the NLP from here you see and with the Family Group Conferencing I don't have clients here but just do the telephone calls and report writing from here. (Purple)
