Nervous client
[Back]
Hi all,
I have a client that gets very easely irritated about everything in his life. He has a terribly strong sense of fairness, in his view that is. So if someone has been talking for 3 minutes, he sees it that he should also be getting that. If a passerby touches him by mistake (brushing), he will feel the need to rebrush him....
Is this something I can help with behavioural and some cognitive therapy as well as with hypnosis, or does it seem like a deeper seated problem(s)?
regards,
AaronHi Aaron,
What is the client actually after help for?
Is he aware of what he is doing? (charles vald)
..and if he is aware of what he is doing, does he see it as a problem and does he want to change? (Purple)Hi,
thanks for your replies.
The client is looking for help. The main thing bothering him are the painfull feelings that he gets when he gets nervous and irritated.
I don't think that I can deal with the pain without dealing with the roots. Occasionally it is possible, as Milton Erickson used to say, 'when you get rid of the lid, there is lots you can do with the pot'. But in this particular case, his aches are directly related to his upset and angry feelings.
What do you think?

How is this client doing now? (Purple)
