Hypnosis and Athletic Performance

Good Morning:
I am an Ironman Athlete trying to improve my marathon pace coming off of the bike. Would hynoisis be useful in helping the body transition more smoothly from bike to run?
Any thoughts would be very much appreciated.There is a great book about Sports hypnosis by Donald Liggett.
Hypnosis involved in sport is usually focused on getting yoru body into the 'zone' to acheive the peak performance of play.
Are you after a more physical muscle tone change through hypnosis? (charles vald)

I have a pretty fantastic training program, I eat a balanced diet given to me by my coach and nutritionist and sleep is good. I have not been able to identify if it is muscle strength or mental strength I am after. Maybe both. (gaylialynn)As you might have gathered hypnosis is more to do with the mental than the physical but body and mind link so much they become rather blurred. (charles vald)
