Little tests after self hypnosis
[Back]
Check your pulse and blood pressure before and after your hypnosis session you will be amazed at the results. I had a testimonial sent to me this week of a lady whose pulse went down from 70 to 50.
Resting pulse rate is around 72-78 but the older you get the slower it goes.
How have you done?Charles..
I appreciate deep realaxation brings benifit to body and mind..
I wonder how long it takes for the pulse rate to return to previous levels..and about the actual return to normal waking state.. (ie if this takes long to achieve).
If we are altered in a physical sense...which we clearly are..should we wait before getting fully back on the treadmill of life..perhaps driving a car for example? :D (Quest)
Hello Charles,
Whilst high blood pressure is an all too common problem it is also true that some people have the opposite and have a naturally low blood pressure. Is there any danger in hypnosis for those people? My partner has been told it would be most unwise for him to go on certain theme park rides because of it (which he has NO intention of doing anyway!!) but otherwise he has no noticeable problems. The thing is that I'd like him to stop smoking and have tried to persuade him to listen to an hypnosis CD. Now I'm wondering if the decrease in blood pressure could have an uncomfortable or even harmful effect. My guess is that it won't or if there is a slight risk it won't be as bad as the risk from smoking but what are your views on this? Am I right in thinking that your blood pressure goes down when asleep anyway. Sorry if this a stupid question :? (Linda)Thanks Linda, interesting question.
In some countries low blood pressure is thought to be great in others they feel it is something to be treated.
So its back to the standard situation of common sense.
We are all so different and. You partners blood pressue might be absolutely normal to his body and if he doesn't have dizziness or lightheadedness then that is most likely the case.
Hypnosis as you said is very similar to fallling asleep with the same reaction as sleeping the only warning is that he might wake up very relaxed and he has to take things easy for a while afterwards.
If he doesn't faint or have dizzy spells in normal life it is unlikely he will with hypnosis.
