Alpha Wave Meditation Music
The following CD and the later version Breath of Time 3 both contain alpha wave enhanced music.
Alpha waves occur when you are relaxed and not thinking. It is a wonderful feeling of "floating". This feeling is produced during meditation and hypnosis. Alpha waves oscillate between 9 and 13 times per second. The CD produces this state.
On these CDs you are encouraged to slow down the rate of your breathing by taking breaths with the chimes played.
When you slow down your breathing, your brain responds dramatically.
Deep breathing increases oxygen flow to the brain. Ideal for meditation, making Breath of Time the ultimate meditation music.
The enhanced sound of the soothing trickle of water on the CD (water being the most natural calming sound to the ear) helps your brain gently emit alpha waves while at the same time the chimes teaches you to slow breathe (see below). The ambient sounds are uniquely designed to cover the most relaxing of mid range audio frequencies. This induces Theta waves and at 3 breaths per minute (second track) also Delta waves.
As mentioned above, this CD has now been superseded with Breath of Time 3 with audio demonstrations.
