Most birthing music you will find is simply easy listening or classical music. This is something different.
I’m sure you have heard about the benefits of deep, slow breathing during labor/labour.
This CD gives you the means to focus your breathing. It should be used between contraction to keep labour relaxed and calm.
To use this CD:
- Simply breathe in through the nose on the first chime of the music.
- Breathe out through the mouth on the second.

There are 5 different breathing rates on the CD, each track is 12 minutes in length. (which of course you can set to repeat) The duration of breaths range from 9 breaths per minute down to 5.
Choose whichever track feels best, the breathing should be comfortable not a challenge.
By practising (with or without a birthing partner) before labor/labour you will be able to use the CD more effectively.
You might of course find the breathing rate you need during labor/labour changes, in which case simply change audio track.
The CD has been designed to help you relax quickly between the contraction allowing you to conserve energy.
You will notice that the out breath is longer than the in breath. This enhances the state of relaxation. It is important that you never hold your breath, and if you have any concerns speak to a Medical Professional.
This CD can of course be used for general relaxation and meditation.
